Container shear (CNS 400 K)
Advantages
The advantages of the container shear as compared to common guillotine shears can be summarised as follows:
- low specific investment and running costs
- continual loading of the shear in the feed hopper with simultaneous ejection of the cut scrap - no pre-compaction by lids
- Shear control carried out by grabber crane operator – no additional operator needed
- self-enclosed operation with integrated diesel engine
- collection and transport by towing vehicle for transport containers or flat bed trailer
- efficient one-man loading, cutting and removal from one or several container shears using a digger
- little space required as compared to stationary shears
- no assembly and foundation costs are needed for operation
- does not require the usual clearance for operation as it is a mobile unit
- thanks to the horizontal cut with a large guided blade carriage there is little wear
- the forces working on the blade carriage always tend towards the centre, avoiding twisting forces
- all inner surfaces have a Hardox-wear plate cover and therefore undergo less wear
- the scrap is introduced from above, due to the movement of the pre-compressor the scrap automatically slips down and the cut scrap is pushed out of the front
- Operating experience thanks to over 130 working container shears in German, Belgian and Austrian recycling companies among others.
Applications
The container shear is particularly suited to:
- Operation at scrap yards without a power supply
- as an additional unit when capacity is reached on other scrap shears
- to prepare scrap for shredding
- processing scrap at sources of waste generation
- as a low cost alternative to guillotine shears when using several container shears beside one another with a scrap handling machine
- as a processing unit for impurities in commercial waste that cannot be processed further by a shredder.
